Having recently sold his family home in the New Prague area, Ken is anxious to build his real estate sales business in Park Rapids. Ken grew up in the Mankato area and earned his business degree from Mankato State College in the early 70’s. Soon after, Ken moved to the Twin Cities and began his career in real estate sales. Becoming a licensed Realtor in 1975, Ken worked in very competitive markets for 4 years. In 1979 Ken became a department manager in the corporate transfer industry. He spent 5 years in that field. Throughout the time Ken spent in real estate sales and corporate transfers, he had a very strong interest in custom homes and high quality building techniques. In 1985 Ken became a general contractor and specialized in upper bracket custom homes. His resume consists of nearly 200 successful projects in the twin cities metro area. Ken and his wife Joy have always loved the Park Rapids area. They have returned for the last 20 years for summer vacations and winter snowmobiling trips. In 2003 Ken and his wife found their “fixer upper” lake home and began the renovation. Their experience in “shopping” for their dream home in the Park Rapids lakes area is still fresh in Ken’s mind.
